O legado espiritual do Papa Francisco para a igreja na Amazônia

Abstract
This article presents a reflection on the spiritual legacy of Pope Francis for the Church in the Amazon. First, it addresses the significance of his pontificate as the first Latin American and Jesuit pope, highlighting the mark it left on the life of the universal Church. Second, it analyzes the historical and spiritual process that led to the Special Synod for the Amazon, considering the stages of preparation, celebration, and reception of this event as one of the pope's main legacies for the Amazon region and for the Church. Finally, it examines the apostolic exhortation Querida Amazonia, highlighting some of its theological and spiritual foundations, particularly those that underpin the dreams proposed by Francis for the Amazon and for the ecclesial mission. The study concludes with a reference to the synodal path promoted by Pope Francis and its continuity in the pontificate of Pope Leo XIV
